Floating algae, duckweed, putrid sludge and odours, and fish mortality due to oxygen deprivation can all be eliminated with Fixaflor Equilibre, a sustainable biological treatment system that efficiently restores the natural balance of lakes, ponds, irrigation water basins, rivers, lagoons, and fish-breeding facilities. Developed by the French company SCPA (Société Commerciale des Potasses et de l'Azote), it takes only a few weeks for the water to become clear and capable of sustaining aquatic fauna.

| There is an urgent need to break the eutrophication cycle and restore the natural balance in waterways. |
Fixaflor Equilibre consists of harmless bacteria attached to a porous, nutritive medium that is launched from a bank or small boat. Once settled at the bottom of the pond or lake, the bacteria begin to mineralize the organic matter that causes odours and turbidity. The phosphorus assimilated by the bacteria is discharged in the form of an insoluble precipitate that remains attached to the porous support. This breaks the eutrophication cycle and restores the natural balance of the water.
More than 150 ponds in France and Belgium have been effectively treated with the Fixaflor system. Floating algae and duckweed are removed forever, while muddiness and putrid sludge are permanently eliminated and oxygen restored. This results in a body of water that is conducive to fish breeding and offers renewed appeal to swimmers and anglers.
Each 25 kg (55 lbs.) bag of Fixaflor contains a compound of porous limestone granules, specific nonpathogenic bacteria selected for their ability to mineralize the water's organic matter, along with enzymes, nutrients, and trace elements.
